November 5th is the UK bonfire night commemorating the thwarted attempt to blow up the houses of parliament in1605, and as most bonfires are on the nearest weekend, our campsite at Seamer, near Scarborough, North Yorkshire hosted a public bonfire.
Saturday was spent riding up on the moors with very little traffic about as the tourist season is just about finished.
Back at the campsite by mid afternoon the sun came out and this was the view from my tent, with the bonfire all ready to go.

And later......

As our friends were trying to keep cool in Bingara, clear skies in UK at this time of the year mean it's difficult to get the wine (red) up to a drinkable 'room temperature'. I think a wine heater may be on the cards!
I awoke on Sunday morning to a bit of frost, and had to scrape the ice off the inside of the tent before it melted and dripped everywhere.
Riding home contemplating the weak sun and a temperature of around 5* or 6*,I thought "Is this really the same sun that's roasting those guys in Australia this same weekend?"
