re my 1992 K1100lt.

One silly and one maybe not,
well maybe not so silly but I don't have enough experience with the machine to know the answer .
First the "silly" one.....how do I know the heated grips are heated ? or even fitted
and
if my hazards are not working does it mean the relay is kaput or was never fitted in the first place.

If you got heated grips, you would also have a 3 position switch at the handlebar cover.

If your hazards don`t function, the problem could be the switch or the related wiring.
The connector you find under the tank, the switch connects to ground.
