I'm about to order new tires for my 86 K100RS.
The owners manual lists two sizes for the rear:
130/90 V 17
140/80 V 17
Which size is the prefered one among riders?
I'm looking to get the Pirelli speed demons

G'day Marten , I think you will find most here will suggest 140/80/17 , matched to a 110/80/18 front , this is what I'm currently running and have been for many years .

The Pirelli Sport Demon tyres might not make you a speed demon, but in the corners you'll be bending it in!

I used 110/80V18 and 140/80V17 sizes in that brand/model through several sets and found them to be exemplary for handling and commendable for mileage.
