After 3 months working on it my bike sailed through it's MOT today after sitting for 12 years in a garage. It's a GOOD day Happy Day 502531 Happy Day 502531

Bit wary driving to the test centre in case anything broke fell off or, I had forgotten how to ride a bike after 20 years. Everyone back in one piece.

Thanks to everyone who helped with advice and encouragement.

Ali

Congratulations. A word of caution however. If you've been off bikes for 20 years, do be careful. You might want to enroll in a m/c safety class to bring back essential riding skills. Returning riders pose some elevated risks to themselves.

+1

I did and it was very worthwhile. The UK roads are a lot busier that 20 years ago. Stay safe and well done on the fresh MOT cert!

Ali,

couple of options for you to consider are do a return to biking day with your local bike training center or get yourself onto a Police bikesafe day/course www.bikesafe.co.uk the bike safe day is all about being followed by a police rider who will give you tips on where you need to improve. I have done a couple of them with different constabulary's the principles behind them are all the same, just some forces are more leniant on speed and the like.... They also pair you up with someone of similar ability.
