Paul - yeah my camera was keepimg a 'dark' secrret - the flash is rubbish! It takes good photos in daylight - honest! The other possibility is that I'm technically incompetent - a fact I've oft demonstrated on these very pages.. .

Only at standstill Paul! Interesting ride though as hadn't been on her for 3 weeks and running in a much lighter bike - quite peculiar but enjoyable - especiially now the suspension is lowered front and rear (unlike the AA box shot - compare and contrast). I love the solidity of the K - feels like you're riding a nimble freight train!

Gee we sure are seeing some interesting things on this thread. You don't have to ask me if its OK it is up to the previous poster. That way it becomes a bit of everything with all sorts of ideas thrown in.

Returning from Popham today I rode along single track roads and through loads of tiny villages in the Cotswolds searching for some sort of interesting 'street furniture'.

I found this 'phone box on the road to Longborough, not far from Stow-on the-Wold. A sight that was once common on British streets but now with the dominance of mobile 'phones they are becoming quite rare.

My photograph is the Antonov bi-plane that is based at Popham airfield. Two flying bricks???

This is a Australian Royal Flying Doctor Service plane. For those who don't know, doctors and now dentists fly to remote parts of our land to supply medical help. The plane is fitted out better than an ambulance...more like a mini hospital section.
It was in action last night to a remote cattle property, 450 kms from here where a farmer rolled a quad bike. The property has it's own airstrip and this was the quickest and safest way to retrieve the person.
If this qualifies I will set the next challenge.

Its your bike and its an aeroplane that qualifies it.

OK next challenge......the zoo

Oh, I forgot....you have to colour code the bike to the sign..........now that will be a challenge.

Just some more information on that plane. The bloke at the base said it was OK as long as airport security didn't come near us .Recently a friend of mine (the owner of the spray booth) had the contract to erect a new security fence around the airport....under the guise of terroristm etc.. The truth was that they wanted to kangaroo proof the airport. It is very embarrassing when overseas visitors arrive and see the security man trying to firstly shoot kangaroos who are refusing to get off the runway and secondly (because he keeps missing) chases and keeps hitting them with the bull bat on his ute. A Japanese visitor thought it was a special show put on for her to welcome her!

Now we know why it was painted orange.

It's an awful lot of trouble to go to to match a sign.

the bullion brick ....even more cleverly camouflaged than Ainsjac's. Were it not for the lights and grips this animal would blend seamlessly into the background silently awaiting a passing kwakka!



I shall await the meeting tomorrow to see what sort of challenge I can set next....but I have a few ideas!!!

Thanks for the Gee up guys. I got so engrossed in the spin in Antrim I forgot to look out for a suitable challenge and I don't think it would be fair to put up a challenge with other forum members in it as this would exclude those playing tag alone or where there isn't a meet up planned.

So weekend and family permitting I'll get onto the next challenge.
