hi i am looking for a set of part numbers for the crown wheel barings on my k100rs 1986,
the ball baring and tapered roller baring are $181 and $101 from bmw a little over pricedi think. considering i can get the tapered roller wheel barings for a falcon for $35 + seals and split pins inc. am after ntk or skf type pls.
if i get no replyes ill post up the onles i match up threw the local baring places.

Here are the BMW reference and dimensions for the bearing:
Bevel gear:
33 12 2 310 925 (ax bearing 25 x 62 x 25.4)
33 12 1 236 995 (needle sleeve 15 x 30 x 18)

Crown gear:
33 12 242 210 (grooved ball bearing 85 x 120 x 18)
33 12 1 451 188 (tapered roller bearing 25 x 52 x 16.25)

If I recalled correctly, the big grooved bearing had been made specially for BMW but I think my brother had found a replacement.(I will call him tonight)

Your old bearing should be stamped with the manufacturer name and #. It is very difficult to see and may need a pair of reading glasses.
When you find this #, go to see an industrial bearing dealer, and he will be able to order it or cross reference with another manufacturer.
You have to be careful that they meet the same specs. A lot of cheap(made in China) bearings don't have the same amount of balls or rollers.
You should stay with brand names like INA,SKF, FAG.....

the little crown wheel baing is a skf and the large a fag. i have movement in the rear wheel i am thinking ofjust replacing the small baring . the larger 1 is not verry notchey but the tip of the small rollers in the tapered baring are all deeply pitted,, any thoughts.

i will prob only buy ntk or skf baring..

well i got prices and he large cw baring is about 101 and the little 1 about 30... bit better than bmws 101 for the little one and 180 for the large
