Hey Kev,

Look at my web site on the K100 rebuilt and you will find the solution to you gear indicator problem (or my main site at: tgp switch rebuilt)
another think that you should be careful is not to hose the cooling fan. They are not waterproof and the contacts will burn if they are soaked. The cost of replacing the fan is $190 affraid .
If you let the bike in full hot sunny weather for a couple of days, all your problems will be resolved.
The only thing is that you have to drive south.

Bert

Thanks Bert, I have left my bike outside today at it will be 35c about 90f so should be warm enough. I will check your site on how to fix the switch, it is right sometimes then flickers and goes screwy like the twighlight zone.

Will keep the fan contacts in mind, is there some waterproofing gel I can use on the contacts to avoid this problem?

The problem with the fan is a design flow. The motor has only a plastic cover not waterproof at all. In theory the motor should be protected from the water by the radiator. It you use a high pressure washer, you will spray the inside of the fan motor and the next time that it will turn, the support for the brushes (made in plastic) will melt.
