It was sad to see Rick G and Marg head their way as the rest of us went our way this morning from Esk. After brekky 35 kms down the road in Fernvale, Charlie, me, RT, Alby & Nic, and of course, Ulrich, throttled up Mt Glorious to the rainforest 'bikie' cafe for a quick stop, a look at the variety of bikes, then off again we went down to Mt Nebo. Charlie, RT and Ulrich headed down further in to the city then on towards home in the south, while Alby, Nic and I swooped down into Samford for petrol, then over to Dayboro, up Mt Mee (with Western views from far inland over the Great Divide and East far out to sea!) and down the other side.
The bikes out the front of the Australian Hotel, Boonah, Queensland.
The Rainforest Cafe, atop Mt Glorious, Queensland.
It was an incredible weekend of laughs, excellent riding, decent food, stacks of empties, amazing scenery & roads, and good company. Friendships renewed, we are plotting and planning the next coupla Aussie gatherings. One idea is for a trip on the overnight ferry to Tasmania later in the year or early next, the other is for a stop at RT's in southern NSW for a combined tech day/weekend tour of the Southern Highlands/the Snowies later this year sometime.
All aboard!?
