Hi Guys,
So ive been interested in motorbikes and cars for a long time and have been enjoying the cafe racer scene that seems to be getting more popular recently.
Friends and I often talk talk about bikes we like, don't like etc and that we would like to build a cafe racer.
So I thought why keep talking about it and why not do it, im really not very mechanical so I think it will be good to go outside of my comfort zone and try something new.
Ill probably ask a load of stupid questions but please be patient with me and help me out eh, in return ill try to keep this up-to-date with developments and new ideas
So the bike is a 1984 BMW K100RS with 27000 miles on the clock. I wanted something a little different that you don't see every day but with a good heritage and something that is pretty reliable. I specifically wanted a 1984 model so that it was made the same year I was BORN.
I found this little great looking machine, its had 3 owners and is in great condition with no rust, corrosion etc. For my first cafe racer I wanted something really clean to start with and im pretty happy with it at the moment.
