CanberraDave, another place to consider is Munich Motorcycles in WA. Some years ago some low down swine pinched my rear end. Yes, the back fender, mudflap etc. Apparently it was a scavenger hunt for school kids and a lot of people lost their number plates. My plate went with the back bits. Munich do have bikes that are in their"breaking" yard. New rear end for $20.

Thanks for the info folks. Just trying to make the girl look a bit better for the get together as I will not have totally fixed the white lower fairing RT sent me Very Happy

(bike is grey). The centre covering I have is a bit brittle to plastic weld and the vynil looking coating is peeling off. Aussie sun 1 - BMW nil Crying or Very sad

I am hoping she will at least be on the road for the get together.

i got a centre (internal ) cover from bm shop ....didnt cost that much
and i always cover the bike since ive got it ...so hoping the ageing process is slower .... have you tryied looking in the specialist automotive paint guys for a presure pack match job dave ?....

only cost me $25 per can ...mixed to formula

theres some good guys out in fyshwick (forgotten the road though) ...the one that goes all the way round the outside ...northside of fyshwick ....just before the right hand turn to freedom etc ...in one of the courts on the left side just near there

yep those optical scanner they use are fantastic og ....and when attached to the computer lookup tables ...just magic !!!!
theyl scan anything ......now just to get a 3d photo of mischell pfiffer ...giggles

Previous owners boat ran into the bike.

CanberraDave, another place is James Sherlock they have workshops on site and break bikes as well. Usually deliver in seven working days and some prices smash Motobins, but I use both.

I'll have to ask, on bended knee, the powers that be, to set me free, as far as I can see. But it looks good for me that late-October weekend too. Maybe by then I'll be running K1100 throttle bodies, a 20mm front master cylinder, braided brake lines, four-pistons Brembos on those Suzuki brake discs I modded, and radial tyres on wider wheels. Just for something different to try. I can't leave well enough alone. The TBs arrived this arvo from overseas. The brake bits are arriving in pieces and parts. FranKenbiKe may yet live.

Geez TWB you will be too classy for us, I'll have to park in the slums.
Hopefully I have persuaded SHMBO to come along on the weekend. At this stage she would either be pillion or riding a small 250 if that was acceptable to all.
AND on another note, somebody help me, I think I'm going to buy another non starter K??? What's happening?.

Beware eBay's Floydpago, I ordered a part from him over six weeks ago now and haven't seen it yet...he was injured in a car/bike accident and that contributed to the delay but he's made no real effort, other than saying 'sorry' and telling me about his unfortunate run of bad luck, to assist me in locating the errant part. I try to empathise but the money's long gone.

I've been busy rubbing my hands together over all manner of go-fast and stop faster goodies spread round the world...pity the dollar has tanked from a high of about $1.10 down to $1.02 in the past several days. I've even been waking up at three AM to try my hand at the roulette wheel of bidding. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but always you become eBay addicted.

I actually have a spare white one, it is a bit of a dog, ie. has a badly patched crack in it, but seems to be reasonably sound. I won't bid against anyone else here as I don't REALLY need it but I have had such fun so far working on my RT. (mental note, check this post next time I strip a bolt or see brake fluid on floor).
I'll try and get a photo for you, todays a bit busy but hang around
and I'll send it in forum so the guys can advise you how difficult it would be to fix.

whilst down at araluen ...im a thinking ill have to take a quick trip into canberra ....on the way back ....i have brother down there , who i havent seen since christmas ...down near chisholm actually ....not too far from tuggers

The Putty road is a good ride. Depending on what day we return, I would prefer to go back via Oberon, Lithgow, Bells Road, Putty road...

Sydney is the pits (traffic wise) If return on Monday (say) then another good ride will be back via Nerriga, Nowra, Royal National Park, through Sydney, WIndsor up the Putty road. Or the old Pacific Hwy to Calga, the Central Mangrove, Kulnura, Wollombi, Cessnock etc.

Options are reasonably broad.

What about the date?

You pussies don't scare me, my next door neighbour had 30 members of a club called Phoenix (a real colour wearing crew) lob up to stay the weekend.
They set up a fire in the backyard and drank all night, riding hd's all around town and in the morning set off a real Flashbang in a fibro dunnie. Woke the whole town. Luckily they have since moved on.
Everyone welcome of course, I'm trying to figure out how to extend my ride, might have to go south first.
No joy on sick brick bike auction sorry, didn't even see what it went for. I don't understand this ebay thinggo.

Man, I'm regretting it a bit but Mine has cost me so much to get ready, and I have a spare 86er (mainly for the panniers and frame but have used a few more bits), and I keep thinking I should get it up to scratch before I go elsewhere, but that was probably cheap.
And it would still be too tall and heavy for my missus.
