Hello - I found a 1990 K100 4 valve with 50 some thousand km on the meter that was stored indoors and ridden by a mechanic so quite a good deal. First bike.
First problem to emerge was the classic leaky sight glass on front master cylinder brake & throttle assembly.
Still working on a solution to that.
Otherwise it starts right up and has good power though it does heat up your pants pretty good.
Have read through various posts about the leaky fluid sight glass, though rebuilding the whole throttle in order to use the Brembo master cylinder and brake lever solution seems above my current level.
Gonna try the disassembly and cleaning route first.
So thanks to everyone who's posted their ideas on that problem.
