Hi there,

Val here from Perth, Western Australia.

Currently own 3 bikes
1985 BMW K100
1981 Suzuki GS850G - fully restored
2019 Kawasaki Z900RS

The beemer is in bits, that's how I bought it, and it is in dire need of restoration. The electrics are an absolute mess, but will take the time to restore it into a custom beauty. I've restored 2 bikes already and now find this to be a passion and easy retirement hobby. Very glad this forum exists and I look forward to getting into it for information.

G'day from W.A.! 177912 Put aside at least AU$500 for the intake rubber parts alone, unless you get extremely lucky and nothing around the intake areas has splits in it. However, before you do anything, check the condition of the final drive splines because this will determine if you want to go ahead with a rebuild or not.

Thanks team - appreciate the welcome and the tips Very Happy
I'll look at the drive splines - I take it thats where the shaft drive connects to the engine?

Cheers
