I am fitting a K1100RS front wheel onto a K1100RS suspension front end, upgrading a 1983 K100. The 3 spoke wheel rim is part # 36 31 2 311 272 (size 3.50 x 17). The left side wheel bearing is 25 x 47 x 12. I've fitted new left and right wheel bearings (right side is 25 x 52 x 20.6).
The outside face of the left bearing as now fitted sits flush with the face of the outside wheel rim flange into which the bearing fits.
My question is: Is the left bearing as I've described fully seated? - I ask because the pipe (part # 36 31 1 458b419) has a degree of lateral (sideways) slop between the 2 inside faces of the bearings.
Spacer wheel axle bushes vary in size between models depending on the wheel and axle configuration and their dimensions are not easily found. My Verniers measure Bush part #36 31 1 458 454 as ID: 25; OD: 51; Thickness: 18mm
Thanks.
