Tanks are getting expensive. I have a few spares, one brand new unused, picked up when they were cheaper. The used ones I have are all early Ks, unfortunately 2 of them need leaks repaired, another is repaired and needs painting. Its inevitable that the tanks on my running 83 and 84 Ks will leak at some point so I am readying these to go on as replacements.

The seller does not know much about K bikes. That's a K75 tank. It's shaped slightly differently from a K100 tank and will not fit well in a K100RS, K100LT or K100RT fairing.

It's easy to tell by the prongs under the front corners of the tank which a K100 tank does not have.

Also when you look at the underside the breather spigots are in a different place.

The 75 fuel tank is a physically different shape and easily seen when compared from the side.

Those spigots are for aligning the two piece radiator cowl when fitted and are often seen removed on the unofficial coffee'd versions.

For $1,700, I'd prefer to buy a similar aged single malt.
