1 GPI screen gremlin Sat Feb 24, 2024 4:40 am

So the gremlins continue to haunt the rebuild of my ‘83 K100. Odometer is now working after robbing some gears from my donor instruments however I’ve noticed that while the GPI screen indicates all gear positions, each image is now distorted and fat. Can’t think of a better way to describe it and I’m fairly certain this is a recent gremlin at play. I’ve not had the bike long, and only rode it home after purchasing it, and was aware then GPI screen was blank. I subsequently found a bunch of harness wires had worn through at the steering stem and when these were repaired the GPI screen worked perfectly. I did notice that one on the earth wires has been squashed behind the cover of the two banks of pins at the back of the cluster, however I did a continuity test in both directions and all is good. Anyone come across this before. Any ideas as to what I may have done?
Thanks.
Thanks.
