I have a ‘93 K1100 and I’m searching for a specific part and it’s formal name/part # (pictured below).

I know eBay is the most obvious answer, but I’ve been looking for it there for more than 8 months.

There are a few sellers on eBay offering a custom version which is fine, but if you read the fine-print they are for K100’s and the K100 version does not fit the K1100 motorcycle.

It's just called a cover or a spark plug cover: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=0536-USA-02-1996-89V2-BMW-K_1100_LT_0526,_0536_&diagId=11_1817
BMW part number is 11121461409
Unfortunately Motorworks don't have any in stock at the moment.

If your K1100 is RS model then the cam cover is not threaded for this cover.

Your solution is to either get it threaded or get a cam cover from a K1100LT model.

That nearly didn't make sense...

The RS version has a fairing that encloses the engine, so no sparkplug cover and no threaded bosses.
The LT fairing exposes the engine, so needs a sparkplug cover and the engine bosses are threaded.
If you have an RS model and really want to remove the fairing, then Olaf's other suggestion is to get a complete cam cover from an LT.
