I know I'll probably regret this but I've decided to sell my Cobas replika. We've been together for a long time and the bike has seen some worthwhile improvements during it's time. It started life with an 8v 1000cc lump but I wanted more so in the absense of a good 1200 motor I modified an 1100 by fitting 1200 throttle bodies, headers, ported head-images of work to ports before final finish, 1200 oil/water pump, oil cooler, Mini radiator, chipped ECU, purpose made airbox with intake at the front of the fairing..the list goes on.
As for the chassis it has a K100RS frame, 1100 forks with Race Tech springs and valve emulators, Fully adjustable Wilbers shock, modified tank-slimmer with more space around the 'bars, 8v mono arm & final drive because they're about 40mm shorter than the paralever back end, Astralite wheels-the only pair in existance as far as I'm aware. Trick dash (not the cheap Chinese crap) tells you everything you'll need to know on the move. Come with boxes of spares inc RS 16v wheels, fuel pumps, 'bars, 16v final drive and gearbox.
It's done quite a few Classic Bike events inc The Bikers Classic at Spa, that's a classic bike gathering on another level and my bike was the first K to every get permission to run at that event and gathered quite a crowd with some people asking if it was one of the genuine Cobas bikes. On track it did itself proud showing many "better" bikes the way and with the 1100/1200 motor in it's way more enjoyable.
It's for sale purely because I just fancy a change of Classic Bike for this year and a change is as good as a rest. It now has a full lighting kit fitted (picture to follow) and has a full UK MoT so it's legal for the road-turn up on that, draw a crowd and embarras modern stuff on the way home!
I have 100's more images and there's much more info if you're interested, the asking price? £6000
