NGK makes plug wire sets specifically for the K bikes. I have seen them on eBay and bought a set for one of my bikes.

I know, wrong bike here, but...
I've heard a few different things about the wires on the early K75s. And there is lots of information out there, but what NGK plug is correct for NGK wires? both my K 75s could prolly use new!

You could fabricate your own set from NGK stock without resistor caps then use resistor plugs or you could just buy these and move on.

I  was able to get a set for a 2001 beetle to work.  I needed to prove the theory.  Plug wires aren't the best fit but they are 6 ohms.  I got the bike running for the first time

Never mind the staggering cost of original parts (if available). The offer in Australia from a BMW motorcycle parts supplier of a quality after market set for $175 before postage is a bit rich. I have ordered a new (found for $14.92) set of Bosch leads for a 4 cylinder car suitable for cannibalising. I'll leave the attached coil caps in place and cut the individual plug leads to length. I've also purchased NGK 102 degree angle spark plug caps. Total cost for leads and plug caps inclusive of postage $50. Unfortunately my visits to 2 of the biggest Australian aftermarket auto parts suppliers (Supercheap Auto & Autobarn) last week saw them only offering full sets of leads - They are no longer offering individual leads for sale. If you are patient you will find suitable lead sets and plug caps online for a good price so you can roll your own.

Further to my post 11. Going through my box of old leads I found a lead where the 90 degree angle rubber boot/connector that fits onto the coil to be damaged. An opportunity to pull it apart for inspection. The internal connector has a white hard silicone covering.
BMW original coil connectors are made by BERU. The 2 coil connectors with the same specification are:- Black rubber Part # 0 300 513 121; Blue Rubber Part # 0 300 513 105. Each boot is stamped with 1000 Ohms. If making your own leads, you can buy the correct BERU coil connectors. Look for a listing for BERU VESO 105.

BERU apparently is part of BorgWarner. 
All plug lead coil connectors are not the same. Diameter of the rubber boots vary (some are too small to fit). Some rubber boots are too short where they push into the coil and therefore will not allow physical connection of the male wire terminal to the female HT coil terminal.
