Bit off topic but Colin who has a k1 and myself are booked in to do the BMW GS SAFARI 2021 Townsville to Cairns
Just wondering do BMW run these in the other countries ?
Safari Blurb
For 2021 the BMW GS Safari is heading to Far North Queensland, this will be the furthest north this event has ever travelled. Over five days of riding you will experience an extraordinary route that will change in scenery more than any we have ever put together for a GS Safari. From exciting twisting bitumen up and down the mountain ranges, to outback stations and tropical rainforests the days on the bike are sure to impress.
The BMW Safari is an official BMW Motorrad Australia event and open to GS riders only. The GS Safari is designed to be enjoyable for riders of all levels; you will spend the majority of your time off road and when you do end up on the sealed stuff the goal is to keep it twisty back road bitumen.
During these 5 days you will be treated to an abundance of adventure riding gold, whether it’s off road or on the bitumen the journey is sure to keep a smile on your face. There are some hidden gems in the Far North to unlock on your GS and we will be heading right for them.
Don’t think it will be all coffee’s and cake, you will be tested at a few points with terrain that will demand your attention. You will also have the opportunity to sharpen up your skills prior to the event with a 2-Day BMW Off Road Training Pre-Safari course, located not far from the starting location at Townsville.
Safari is about the riding and the mateship; our goal is to conduct an event where that is all you will experience. Leave the worry behind.
