That is a nice, clean motorbike, Bane! How is the weather in Belgrade at this time of the year for riding? Not so many motorbikes on the icy streets at the moment. I would want to keep that beauty in the garage until Spring!

See that he has the nice, two-piece front mudguard and fork brace that most of the rest of the RT/LT series didn't come with in those years!? But strangely, the footpeg brackets resemble the very early, old-school type. Was this bike well-cared for or a really good restoration, Bane? It's a beauty!

Very nice Bane - having just spent about 25 man-hours restoring and polishing up my downpipes, I can appreciate yours!

Mmm..trade secret old chap...
But seriously...when I am done, I will post a set of steps I took and together with commensurate photos - it was actually not that difficult (depending on how pedantic you are - I AM), and relatively simple process...just a bit of "elbow grease" required, thats all...and a passion for all things shiny!

In Belgrade is +12 ˚ C. Last night was even hotter. Belgrade is celebrated in honor of the Serbian national team's world championship in tennis. Bike in the garage waiting spring.
Winter in Belgrade has not yet begun. People here do not drive much in winter.
I will put pictures how is the bike looked when I bought it.
Sorry for my bad English.
Greating

Hy Bane,
whenever you're in Germany, let me know!
Also let me know what kind of cleaning equipement you need. My bike might need a rub

This is my second BMW K100. I have my job and this is my hobby and love of younger days. There is not much work around the restoration of BMW K100. I'm a restored BMW R75 / 6, 1942 HD WLA, BMW R51 / 3 1953 triumph t6 thundrebird 1961, BSA A7 1949 ... I work and parts.
I do not use any kind of special equipment for polishing. Serbia was difficult to get good equipment and parts.
Here are pictures of my work, maybe not for this forum but they are interesting.
I set the picture as it appeared the bike when I bought it.
