Go to your Profile tab then right at the top change the name then save right at the bottom of the page and all should be done.

Oh dear...

I did briefly contemplate changing my username to leathertuscadero but no.

This does illustrate the problem of confusion and potential offence that can arise with only the written word and non-native speakers. Particularly to an outsider in a group that knows each other very well. But perhaps our Finnish friend could have chosen better; real name or something along the lines of JarnoSaarinen might be less provocative.

Never meant to be Funny or offend you. Sincerely. And I do understand the Similar name. As you can imagine was totally Involuntary. I never been in the forum before so I know no names. If I would have known was a similar name I would not have chosen it. Apologies

Dai's "Clown" comment was direct to Chris, not you. As I say, that's the risk when working with only the written word. I assure you, nobody was attacking you - these are very nice people.

Please think again about deleting your profile. This was just a series of mistakes from start to finish. My mistake? a native english speaker's careless assumption that half the world is just as adept in the language as I am, when my own ability in someone else's language is embarrassingly poor. That, and trying to be clever just for the sake of it. It really is a great forum and...we're all getting a bit bored with lockdown. Welcome.

Probably is a good Forum but, as I said, when somebody makes jokes about me even writing my name!? No Thank you. I am not interested. Again I APPRECIATE if someone can tell how to DELETE Profile. I would ask you to reconsider leaving please. This is a fantastic group who have a massive amount of knowledge and share it generously. My K was pretty sad when I bought it and would not be running today were it not for these folks.
This really is just a misunderstanding that went on too long.
I believe that if you leave the group, you will miss the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge transfer. But I know for sure that we as a group will regret these circumstances, we’re not those kind of people.

Dear Guest,

When you first joined the forum I thought you would be a welcome addition and like the way you approached things.  I have not changed that opinion.

I for one would welcome you back and hope to catch up with you like many of the members I already know, post Covid.   Very Happy

Cheers, Dave.

Perhaps it should have been explained.

First off, you did nothing wrong.

Some of us K riders have habits of actually meeting up, locally and much further afield. Any K owner travelling or visiting Ireland will get a welcome and meet up and possibly Kristmas pudding but that's another story.

The clip you got sent is from a rather interesting and at the time intentionally satirical television series called Father Ted. The home of Father Ted is Craggy Island, a house in the most scenic Burren region in County Clare in Ireland and is iconic in the motorcycle community. It is also privately owned but it is open by appointment for tea and cakes.

It has therefore been a venue for K riders, for visits and Sunday afternoon tea. The K Banner has been there too.

This banner started life in Australia and has toured the globe, it has been in my possession on a number of occasions and at one point I took it to France. It also came to the Kedada Alicante in 2020, over 120 K bikes there and a great meet up for us too.

The forum has been and continues to be very helpful to all, so much so that some of us do go out of our way to exchange parts, know how, have meet ups and share travels.

Hopefully you will stay in the group.
