Hey gang. I bought a 1994 K1100LT 6 months ago. It had been sitting for 5 years before getting a service to make it pass registration. All the seals are now leaking one after the other. Luckily I have corona time to fix things (: So far I have the ABS, windscreen and radio/cassette player going great guns.

My dad owned an 80s UK ex police K75 then a K100, then 1200. I learned how to repair bikes on Ks. After 10 years of Japanese bikes I have taken the plunge into ancient German witchcraft. I only sometimes regret my decision.

I am now in Sydney, AU and do any major work in the rising sun community workshop in Newtown. (Despite their name they aren't prejudiced against us)

If someone has an 8 track lying spare I have an audio background and will happily swap the clarion cassette deck for it and enter into the first annual "dumbest Kbike mod of the year" competition.

WelKome to the forum. Remember to have a pen with you at all times. You need to tighten the reels up in the cassette before playing. Another tool to carry with you on the bike.

A mate in the mid north coast of NSW bought an 8 track record/play deck for his home stereo in the 70s. He still has it!
