How is the screen on an RT fixed to the fairing? I'n assuming that it doesn't use metal bolts but I don't have anything in the big box of bits that came with Kostenlot to let me take a good guess.

ill guess that you dont have the threaded speed clips that fit around the fairing surround  that take the 5mm bolts through the screen ?

i have used 5 mm  x 25 mm stainless with a slightly bigger washer , to spread the load of tightening across the
um ...perspex ... for want of a better description

note  the 2 rear most fixing locations (nearest the rider ), wont accept the speed clips because of the thinness  of the fibreglass at that location , i just use a good sized washer at the lower end of the bolt , with some cushioning rubber  closest the the fairing as a buffer .  nylock nut at the bottom .

The fixings on the nibs near the rider are 10mm bolts on the inside and longer screws on the outside.

Thanks guys. Charlie confirmed my supposition regarding the spire nuts as the fairing did come with them attached minus the four rear. The question I should have asked was: what is used to spread the load through the lexan screen? I did what I should have done in the first place and scrabbled around in the garage roof for the two screens I have. One had the answer; there was a single solitary convex plastic washer stuck to the lexan. Yet another call to Motorworks coming up...

Just FYI: they don't show on RealOEM.

46 63 1 453 997 x 8 is shown as a 'hollow washer' under the screws and then washer 46 63 1 455 994 x 4 under the screen but above the 'clip nut' in the front main 'screen attachments for an RT in RealOEM. I have found over the years that it takes a fair amount of 'interpreting' of ETK to locate the bits required. It's a bit of a hunt and peck method. In fact, BMWNA, Chrysler, Subaru, VW/Audi & etc., call parts people "Parts Interpreters" in their official training classes.

Well, I had a trawl round ebay and found some lovely solid ally cup/countersunk washers. BUT! By the time I'd added protective nylon washers for underneath and a set of countersunk screws, Motorworks were beginning to look decidedly cheap.
