Hi,

My RT has an original (std) screen which has been cut down so I am looking to replace for the winter.

I am 5’6” / 1.7m (please reply soon it reduces every day 😂).

From the oem array I seem to have a choice between the std (600mm tall?) and two Comfort screens - 540mm or 565.

I prefer to see over a screen. Does anyone have words of wisdom on how these various choices perform (or recommendations for decent weather coverage for the vertically challenged)?

I'm not sure how the STD screen can be taller than the comfort screens? But the screen bolts to the fairing on the early ones without an electric screen so you can buy or make a wedge from plastic that comes in either thick at the riders edge of the fairing or thick at the nose of the fairing which allows for the screen to tilt either up or down from stock.
Please bare in mind I haven't seen any of these for sale in 20 years but once upon a time they did exist.

I don't recall what they were called but wedgie shaped screen to fairing tapered spacers might be a good description.

I did think Stock was 450mm high??

Thanks K75, interesting idea. Thanks Arlina, funnily enough I have a 93 k1100lt fairing that I was going to use, so I know the powered screen will fit if I can find one.

Nah. You’re alright. Going to get some 4mm polycarb and go made to measure.
(and nick K75cster’s idea to wedge it).
