Hello,
a few days ago, I was going to leave the office and back home with my K,
unfortunatelly when I switched on the key the red ligths of battery and oil came on as expected,
then nothing happened (no rotations) when I pushed the starter switch.
Here is the drama: When I extracted the key both red lights keeped to stay on untill I disconnected the battery!  An electrical or electronics failure 61740
Here are additional information:
- The battery was full charged.
- previously I used daily my K during for the last 10 days.
- In a car wash, 3 days before the failure, I washed the bike with a pressure water keeping a supposed adeguate distance...
- Then I have already cleaned several connections and switch contacts and ground too.

And now?

Thanks in advance for any contribution!

Whatever electrical fault now causes your bike's malfunction, I strongly recommend DeoxIt as both a possible cure and as a great preventive measure against water shorting (within reason) and against oxidation-caused connection faults. I found my DeoxIt can at an electronics tinkerer store. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your quickly reply, DadofHedgehog.
I will get the DeoxIt asap and I will share the result.

It could be that the ignition switch was affected by the wash. I'd suggest that you disassemble and clean the switch. There are guides online as to how to accomplish that disassembly/reassembly. Highly recommended to do so while the switch is inside of a plastic bag so that you don't loose any springs.

Unfortunatelly, it is not so easy:
Both ignition switch check and DeoxIt have been enought.
