Hello K100-Forum-members,
A proper introduction is in place I guess...
Being a motorcyclist from my younger days on I bought my Beemer 5 years ago. At the I saw the first K100 drove around I knew that I had to drive one someday... just had to wait for it to become an affordable classic.
My first bike was a Laverda 750S from '71 and I drove it for 20 years. After that I had several other bikes, a few Honda's and other Japbikes.
The Beemer is a K100RS16V from '90 with modified and balanced injectors, new suspension and several other small modifications. I'm very happy with it and put some 50K km on it past 5 years. I do all the maintainance and enginework myself, learned a lot from keeping an Italian classic on the road for so long...
I'm specially interested in the (complex) technics of the second generation K's and hope to share my findings in this forum and get some tips and comments from this forum as of the Flying Brick forum from my German neighbours.
Greetings, Peter
