Folks,

At the risk of posting my intro twice (can't find my intro if I had done one), here goes:

New member returning to motorcycles after 10+ years and to BMWs since I wrecked my R100CS back in 1988. Started in 1981 on two used rice burner bikes - Suzuki 500 Titan from 1970 and a Kawasaki KZ400 from 1978 (??). Bought my 1st new machine - the R100CS - in 1982. In 1997, bought a new Buell S3 Thunderbolt and in 1998 while living in Central Asia, a Russian used Ural + sidecar. Left the Ural in Central Asia, gave the Buell to an old Army buddy who needed it more than i did about ten years ago. Now, I just bought my old/new 1995 K75 T in Seattle with just over 6k on the odo, and rode it back to Virginia this June & July, using the not straight route back ;-) . More than doubled the bike's mileage during the ride.

Many thanks to The Duck who was kind enough to meet me and steer me straight during my 1st wobbly week on this bike.

QUESTION: how do we PM each other on this forum? For the life of me I can't find the method... not that I claim to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Click the Memberlist tab under the banner at the top of the page, enter the member's name, click OK. When the member's info is shown, click the PM icon. You can also click the PM icon if it's shown on a member's post when you're logged in.

Welcome along DofH. Quite a ride Seattle to Arlington and a great introduction to your new bike.

If you go to the Portal or Forum page and select the “Profile” tab, you will see a handy link “View your posts” (Crazy Frog has thought of everything on this fine forum) - click that to see everything you have posted...if you did an intro previously, it should show up there. It might be that you piggy backed on someone else’s intro post (it happens quite regularly).

Enjoy

You were lucky, everyone else had to stay there.
