I've purchased a side car as my right knee is getting worse especially on long journeys. So for more stability I'm getting a squire sidecar fitted. Now I'm getting the bike ready before hand so I know there is nothing wrong.

New headbearings will be ordered on monday, they are fine at the moment but getting a bit tight. Front tyre has just been replaced and the rear is decent. Rear shock I've got to collect from a good friend near Birmingham at some point.

I'm not getting leading links for possibly a few months. So I wanted to ask those that are using normal forks what suspension springs do you use and what weight fork oil ?

Also is there anything else that you would suggest checking.

I've never ridden a sidecar and been getting helpful advice from friends. I'll be putting something in the sidecar to act as ballast at least for the first month or two. Think it will be safer that way.

Cheers,
Sam.

Hello Sam
I would make sure the rear main seal and clutch are in good condition, a lot easier to do before the sub frame and sidecar go on.

Don't worry about the stutter. Rear main seal and clutch was done by my self with sprague clutch personally getting a clean.

Mind you the sprague clutch didn't need doing. Let's just say that the starter motor is now painted.
