Hi all,

I recently traded my 1984 K100RT for a 2007 K1200GT and I find the ride position a bit tough on my knees - it's not so easy to support myself, e.g. when approaching a speed-bump, etc.

I suspect it is the seat-to-footrest distance, but since I've sold the old bike, I can't measure this myself.

Would you mind measuring the distance from the top of the footrest to the bottom of something flat on the seat (a plank of wood or something will do the job!).

The equivalent distance on my GT, with the seat fully raised (highest position) is about 47 cm.

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

My K1100lt has a 52cm length from centre of comfort seat to peg. The peg sits below the bend in the seat where it turns to run up the rear of the tank. 11cm forward of the seat where I had the ruler.

Your thumbs may require the grip to be pulled back towards you to take the pressure off the ball of your thumb. Either that or the grip needs to be fatter to afford your thumbs a rounder fatter grip on the grips.
