Hi

I have a set of heated grips, I think Daytona 22mm model.
I was wondering if anyone knows where is the power source/connection for the heated grips.
Is there a dedicated connection plug for the official heated grips?

Thanks

Gabriel

It's too easy to walk away and leave the grips on. My suggestion is to put a relay in the relay box (there's enough room to have one floating free), then add your own wires as follows:

1. green wire (from pin 86 on the load shed relay) to pin 85 on your relay
2. brown wire (there's a loose one in the box) to pin 86 on your relay
3. red wire (on the grips - has a fuse inline with it?) to pin 87 on your relay
4. red wire (from the battery positive) to pin 30 on your relay
5. black wire (on the grips) to battery negative

Whenever you turn your ignition off or hit the starter button, it will cut the power to the grips. If there is no inline fuse for the heated grips, then modify as follows:-

4. red wire (from the battery positive) to pin 30 on your relay
4. red wire from fuse 4 (unused) to pin 30 on your relay
