I'll make shure to post my find for other to use,

I'm currently hooking up the Motogadjet cronoclassic instruments, 

LED blinkers (WITH RELAY MOD) LED headlamp, and horn are hooked up and working fine.

Neutral switch is hookedup also.

Next is to plug the gas tank and see if it starts.

I might be missing a thing or two...or three, i will go from there 
but i am almost done
Spring is here in Quebec, snow is melting.....

I'll post pics in the near future.

A full summer whent by, since my last post.
Busy with my work.
But i shall continue

It all started with a freind of mine, lets call him A. Bying a old k1100 on Kijiji.
Passing by my work a few days later to show his new bike and grab an espresso (we make the best espresso).
He said: I want to make a cafe out of this, but none will do the job!
My work being slower in the winther, i suggested to build it in my basement shop

So off with the fairing, off the luggage, multy braquets

Took apart the front dashboard
Tons of unnessary weight like electric windsheild??
Radio??
The starship enterprise was less equiped than this bike..

Once all was out of the way, i got started on the gas tank,
Removing gas cap and hoses so i can start stripping it and make it all ready for the clearcoat.

Just regular paint remover did the job.

It is a good thing it was warm out last fall , i striped it outside.
I even managed to get a motorbike ride (i have a concours1000)on the 13th of decembrrrr at 8deg c.

Socwe pushed the bike inside for the winter, and once in my shop i got to work.
First off with the wheels for fresh coat of paint and new rubbers.

Off with the ignition, triple tree gone and out for milling
Starting to think about where to cut the long tail section
Mr A. got a hold of a few key items:
Motogadjet clock
Motogadjet bar end blinkers
Motogadjet mirrors
Front round chrome headlamp
Headlamp ears
Led headlamp bulb
Clip ons
Wow cool parts

Started to assemble parts and make sense of the wiring harness
Try to see where to putthe clocks and witch wires are now useless

getting inspiration from the net and not satisfied with aftermarket sears on the market i decided to do it myself. To sculpt it and send it to a saddlemaker to get it reproduced.
My buddy A. Got a hold on one of the best
Her i took blue styrophome and whent at it for the general shape

Xacto knife, bread knife, course file, sand paper...
To make shure we had the best possible position and look.
Once we were there i made a paper imprint of the contour so a base plate could be cut from aluminum

Mesurements were made and marked on blue maskin tape
I filed the plate by hand for lack of better tool to do the job

The styrophome was then matched to the plate.
Mounting bolts were installed, and i made little ears in the front so the seat can clip where the rear of the thank sits on each side of the frame .
thickness of seat pad was carefully studied and back hump made comfy for a 6ft guy to rideride

Once we were satisfied, off it whent for a real thing reproduction of what i did, using the baseplate.

It was fun to do!
At the same time my buddy got the thank don too

This was just brushed aluminum with a clearcoat

Buddy did not like brushed aluminum.. so he got racing stripes.....
I dont like racing stripes and they are not CENTERED!!!
But it’s his bike..

We are getting rid of the race stripes this winter ..

Got him to install led tail light insert from china
And a BMW logo just for fun

Rearsets were sourced from Uk along with the new rear brembo master cylinder.
Save alot of weight over the stock pegs and a better position of the legs with the new seat and clip ons.
And all was installed. And secured.
I then proceeded to a absectomy, removal was simple and saved an extra 1000lbs

By that time it really started to look like something

Electrics was next on the line. Deadline was last spring, i had to get it ou as i dont have much hobby time in the summer, i took care of the essentials.
I fabricated a custom braquet for the new clock using a motogadjet plate that i cut and filed for it to fit on the triple
Here is how i did:

The clock is not yet hooked up but îll get back to that

I fabricaded an aluminum bracket and weht to the welder to put the spring tabs on

Braquets were made for the plate
And plate lights

Don't throw the ABS away. If it was working, someone on here will definately buy it off you.

Nothing was tossed in the dump, Buddy got everything to a good home...

Once the ABS removed, i carefully discarted all hoses and fittings
Removing the rear calliper to clean ,i ploished the Brembo logo for fun.
Empty the old brake fluids.
measured for new braded lines that we ordered from Speigler
