What a top morning for a ride.
Two days of a four day weekend pissing down with rain and two days of sunshine.
Met up with Richard (Basic2) and Waz at the old brick pit and too silly to get a photo.

Off to get a koffee in Newtown and picked a cafe that did not serve skones. Egg and bacon rolls all round.
Sat for amost two hours I think a talked Ks and general rubbish then off home.

i had hoped to get up and join you, but I'm still a bit jet lagged, and it's been raining down here.

So Rosskko! the blue beast is out and about - didn't you realise that it was going to be a Red Bike gathering?

Don't know if the glorious day lasted all day down your way - we have a thunderstorm overhead up here in the Hunter.

I like the video rosskko, could have had a bit of Iggy Pop in the background but still good. I wonder if you have the camera in behind the screen would it cut out the wind noise.

Not sure where you lot have been, but we had two magic days in Sydeney. Until 2pm today when the heavens opened.

Smithy, not sure how the cam would go behind the screen as from your profile pic I think we have the same solid black RS screen. My camera is stuck right above the headlight. That is why it is pretty jumpy.

Yeah, wouldn't be real good behind a black screen! mines clear and have often thought that a small camera would go well there.
Been three solid day's of rain here, about 100mm all up.

Shame I missed that Roskko, Richard and Waz - was up at Laguna - was either scorching sun or pissing down!

09:30 at Sydney Park, Princes Highway St Peters for a group photo, then to Newtown for coffee.

I've just been advised by the home office , that I need to be home early on Saturday, leave the city by midday.
there is a possibility I could pick up my wheels on the friday between 7pm -11pm @ Prestons , Chipping Norton, stay overnight and join everyone on Saturday morning . 
If so , does anyone have spare floorspace for a swag available for friday night? I am still negotiating a collection time for the wheels. Thanks Ed.

I've also been in discussion with the home office and have been advised that I am surplus to requirements on 16th May so I've contacted young Tommy about accompanying him on the koffee excursion.

This is the entrance to the car park.
It is on the Princes Highway, just past the intersection of Sydney Park Road, King Street and the Princes Highway

For any of the Hunter Krew who may be considering Koffee in Sydknee this Saturday, Tom and I plan to leave from outside the Macquarie Memorial Gardens at Ryhope at 6:30am.

Note: although I "love youse all!" If it is raining I don't plan on repeating my effort of getting thoroughly drenched when I last went for koffee with some of the local Forum knuts.

I've cancelled my order for the Ebay wheels , so I can now join you at Ryhope. see you boys at 6.30.

Not a big chance of rain tomorrow, so looking forward to meeting the Krew tomorrow. Hopefully not too big a chance to stop Gaz, though if the forecast was for a soaking, I'd probably follow Gaz's example and stay home.

9 forum members made it to Newtown this morning for coffee, K talk and a late breakfast.

We had Dale RT, Rosskko, Gaz80, Basic2, WarrenC, Tom Grabau, Waz, GroverK & Indian036.

First meeting point was at the old brick works at Sydney Park, St Peters for a group photo.

I see that RossKKo also brought his spare bike and parked it next to his blue one. Great to see so many faces and bikes together...wish I had been there.

A top morning out with the Krew. 
Sydney turned on the weather for us today , clear skies proved most welcoming.
 

Whilst waiting for the late comers, a stroll around the brick works was in hand .





After a bite , chat and poke and prod of bikes , the Hunter Krew headed north again We opted for the Old Pacific Highway with a brief stop in at the Pie in the Sky for lunch,


 then across the Hawkesbury River at Mooney Mooney . to the onslaught of wet weather which had driven them from the Hunter so early in the morning.

Great effort for a Koffee run guys, it shows how good the friendship  is between the members of this forum, or is the Koffee just that good in Newtown. Well done.

Koffee was good, but not worth the trip by itself, not even when you add the nice croissant. 
Friendship and fellowship, a bunch of guys I'm very happy to be a part of.

we had a total of nine riders , thinking we may have outnumbered the Eccentrics for a Koffee session .

Some good posts and photos already up by other members of this morning's gathering so here are another couple to add to the collection.This meet up must be getting close to the Irish Eccentrics number since we didn't make it for the earlier attempt at Eden.

As expressed by Bill - its a great group to be a part of as indicated by me climbing out of a warm bed at 5:00am to hit the road at 5:45am heading into a dark drizzly morning (probably like any other morning in the other hemisphere where forum members reside) on a two hour trip into the heart of our largest city. For a country boy like me, riding into downtown Sydney on a Saturday morning is not what I dream of, however catching up with members from previous rides and meeting some in person for the first time definitely is. Other members there today travelled similar distances and time as Ed, Tom and I from the Hunter Valley.

The photos we took at the brick works to begin with kept getting out of date as more members arrived but I thought I'd add one taken from the other end of the lineup.


As you already know, groverK (Ed) is our artistic director whenever he is present and I want to prove that he will get down and dirty to get the right shot, or was he just a little fatigued from the ride down (don't worry about the wet ground as he still has his wet weather gear on).


After greetings and a bit of a K chat we were led off a short distance by local lads to a nearby cafe for coffee (note the lack of the correct forum spelling due to the fact that this establishment does NOT serve skones). Nevertheless it was a happy bunch around the table.


We dodged the showers on the way home with just a bit of spray from the wet road to contend with.

Thanks to those that organised the day and I'm sure we are all looking forward to the next one.
