I have just taken my dash off to try yet again to fix the odometer and had a spare dash that came with the bike to put back on temporarily. When the plugs on the back wouldn't fit I noticed they were round compared to the oblong pins on mine ( '87 RS ).

  Is this an earlier/later model with different pins?. Can I take the back off of my dash and put it on the other one at all. The front looks identical.

Some parts are interchangeable but not that.
