Mark is a good guy and profoundly anti-establishment, sort of a biker version of Howard Marks, another a hero of mine. There’s a bit of a story about why he included it as a Bike of The Year, but that doesn’t matter. All good fun.

"Bike of the Year" 'nuff said. Well done Chris, entirely deserved in my opinion!

Cheers guys.
Mark came across the bike at the Kickback show last year. I think he was impressed that this daft old dipstick had ridden it a hundred odd miles there in the freezing cold and rain. S’not just a show bike.
One for the forum eh?

I keep coming back to look at the pics Chris, what a fantastic result. I see that some photos were taken in authentic urban settings; caff racer next?

Yep, not too many graffiti covered derelict buildings 'round here though. But I have been practicing staring moodily at the tank, with a beard.

I find really good therapy is to get out the angle grinder and do the safety squint whilst chopping at the subframe.

I've just shown this topic to a friend and just realised I had not commented the result.
This is probably the best mod ever made on a K basis.
I'm very impressed, half admirative, half jealous.
Bravo Suzi Q!

I rarely visit and I log in even less often, but I felt the need to state that both the bike and the thread are brilliant. Top notch end result and a thoroughly enjoyable read to boot.

Agreed, and sadly we don't hear much from Chris for the past 18 months or so...
Maybe he's onto Kawasaki or some Chinese moto thing.

Hi Olaf, TWB and everyone. Am still around and stealing oxygen. Kind of lost my bike mojo during all the lockdown thing and didn't do much at all - ended up with all four bikes on SORN. All a bit weird really. Been pottering around renovating my old K100 just for something bike-related to do. BUT!.....two days ago I MOT'd the K75k (the short, blue, painful to ride bike) and, other duties permitting, I shall be out and about, maybe Squires this Sunday . All the best and thanks for remembering this thread kindly.

When I was at the K anniversary event at Dijon 2 weeks ago, I was thinking that your K75 Madass should have been exposed there, it deserves it for sure!
