"Which K bike do you have? The earlier K100/K75 have a (standard or sport) fork tube which measures just a smidgen over 41mm, while the 16V K100 & K1100 use a 41.7mm tube diametre. What type of ears are you using? I used a slightly expandable version on my Big Block (Marzocchi 41.7mm) and ended up utilising the rubber sleeves that came with them to take up the 'slack'."
I have the front end from my early build 85 K100. Fork tube measures 41.3mm. I do not have the original triples. Bought a set off Ebay. They match the picture of the K100 triples on the Max Fiche. They measure 40.9mm. I checked the K1100 triples and they are totally different from the K100 triples. Do you see any problem just having the triples reamed to the correct (for my K100 legs) diameter?
