Been meaning to stop at the Powerhouse for ages but it always turns into a "maybe next time".  I always seem to be in a hurry to get up the Moonbi range when leaving Tamworth.

Work commitments prevented me attending the NTR this year but apologies sent in advance.

Good to see everyone enjoying themselves and dodging the bad weather.

Dave.
It was a quick exit past Daisy Hill , rain clouds hung over me most of the way down the coast road as I returned home from Brisvegas.
Would have definitely enjoyed a coffee with you.

The ride home was a quick squirt down the east coast . Leaving Brisvegas at 10am ( NSW time) and arriving in Newcastle around 10pm .
Plenty of rest breaks along the way .

Stopped in at the Byron Bay lighthouse .
Byron was packed with tourists , and it isn't even peak season yet.

This is a painting by my grandmother back in 1986, during one of her trips. It now hangs in my home .

Byron Bay and across to the hills around Kyogle .
Some great twisties up there , but the threat of rain kept me hugging the coast road.

Broadwater and the Richmond River.
There are a few of these old bridges scattered across the countryside . The middle section is raised vertically by cables to allow boats through.

I couldn't resist this pic , knowing RossKKo would have done the same , as he has in the past .

Thought I left all the hippies back in Byron Bay .

Looking out from Sealy lookout , perched high above Coffs Harbour .
Originally known as Korffs Harbour . Source Wikipaedia:Coffs Harbour owes its name to John Korff, who named the area Korff's Harbour when he was forced to take shelter from storm in the area in 1847.[11] The name was accidentally changed by the surveyor for the crown when he reserved land in the area during 1861.

I was glad I chose the coast road home , as it was blowing a gale and looked threatening up in the inland hills .

The Sky Pier at Sealy Lookout .
A nice run up the hill , with excellent views of Coffs Harbour . Thinking of the Krews visit here during the Tablelands Ride in 2015.

The skies were keeping the sun from view most of the way home . Hearing of previous runs by the krew , this also provided for a cool ride on Smurfette . I was very happy.
