Hello all, I need a couple of bucket shims for my k1100LT 2.75 mm and 2.80 mm to replace a pair of 2.85's which make the valves too tight.  Happy to pay or exchange etc

Thanks mate. Shame there aren't interchangeables with Kawasaki etc I have order from motobins which are the cheapest. Probs be good to have a library of em to exchange etc. will keep eyes open should a box of goodies turn up.

50 bucks each out west thew. Of course k1100 are totally different to k100 in that the 11 looks like a bucket not a coin so expect rarer and more expensive.

Aren't they 29mm, same as my KLX650? I recently re-shimmed it and was sure that was one of the things I learned when I started checking.
DOH! just read the bit about it being an 1100.

I think the Kawasaki shims have a chamfer. Not sure how that would affect their use in a K100.
K1100... didin't see that either. Cheers

The Kawasaki shims are square edged it's the early Yamaha from the 4cyl air cooled 1100 that has a chamfered edge.

You forgot to add -... "and they're a complete bastard to get out" (dark memories of reshimming two K1100 Spectres about thirty years ago).
