Hello from Ireland! Thanks for allowing me to join the forum.

I met a fellow K-owner at a meet yesterday evening and he recommended I join the forum in light of my current project.

I'm in the process of restoring an '85 K100RS 2V. Once complete (few months hopefully), I've an '89 K100RS that I hope to customise affraid

Daily rider is an 02 R1150GS.

I'm looking forward to reading and contributing to the forum in any way I can.

Definately hooked on BMW bikes and learning they live up to their long name.

Welcome Charles,

Come on name names - who was it that introduced you to the forum?

You certainly are in a very good place for K100's - the Irish Eccentrics are a particularly sociable lot both in meet ups and though their on-line banter.

Hope the resto goes well -  all the help and advice is hereabouts on the Forum, just search or ask.

I have been known to venture over to the Emerald Isle a few times, so who knows, we may meet up ay some point.

Enjoy

Now on Friday week as in 19th Will and myself are going camping up at Draperstown Friday and Saturday night and there is a ride out on Saturday to the Sperrins and Donegal. Leaving The Shepherd's Rest camp site at 8.30am with a breakfast stop not long after. Working out at £20 for 2 night camping and Saturday dinner!!

I plan on being up at Roscommon about 12 or so for early lunch travel the rest of the way in the afternoon.

Come on any bike you have but we do have a Korner organised!

Well Lads. Great to meet all of you and thanks for the warm welcome.
Olaf, you may be right......but there again.... 😂 I won't lift anyone's head above the fox hole. The guilty party will have to identify themselves 🤔😎
BAE, it'd be great to meet up if you're over this way. Olaf, if I'm not on call that weekend, I'll be along.

WelKome, Charles.   Very Happy

You have indeed found a good place for Kameraderie and advice.

I expect to be travelling not far from you on 1 July, en route from Cong to Dublin on a bus tour with my wife. I've already commenced plotting with Olaf to meet up with an Eccentric or two while in Ireland, but a bus tour doesn't give the flexibility of independent travel.

Bill (from Oz)

Well, as I've said before, one-in-four weekends on call does a good job of murdering your social life and you're really good at picking that fourth weekend! Dunno yet - a calendar check is in order when I get back in the office.

Going on my maths if you were on call last weekend this week end is no 2 weekend and Draperstown is no 3 weekend......so maybe out with the tent too.

Now will we get Peter down over too??

Bills trip over we are seriously plotting around 1/2 July in Dublin as being the best option.

It would be nice if it was a 'rolling' four weeks, but throw in holidays and sick days... it never is. Sometimes it can be as much as six weeks between standbys.
