Both front an back parking lights do not work when ignition is switch on and/or bike is running. Works fine if ignition is switched to "P" (park). The headlight works fine. Could this be a battery thing?
Do you have any ideas?

what about the main lamps ? do they operate ?

several possibilities ....

right hand switch mechanism has corroded terminals in the switch mechanism (in the park position )

corrosion on connectors from handle bars ....under tank

there will be others with some good info also

welcome to the forum voggsson

Welcome Voggsson
is your Bulb warning light on at all (red triangle on instrument cluster)?.
Clean all connectors (volcanic ash wouldn't do it any favours).
If you go to the introduction section and tell us about yourself and your bike
you will be able to get into the electrical fault finding charts.
Good luck

The main lamps work fine, but not the front and rear parking lights, does not matter if the headlight switch is in the parking light or runnig light mode.
I'm doing a light restoration, and this is only one thing on the check list. Wink
Thank. Smile

We washed all the ash away a long time ago. Smile hehehe
I'll check the connectors and clean them, and I'll check out the introduction section.

Thansk for the warm welcomes.

One thing to check is the bulb monitoring unit in the relay box it gets its power from two different sources depending which mode the key is in.

No not that one see the diagram below
Parking lights not working... Relay_10
This unit monitors the park, tail and stop lights. If any are faulty it lights the red light with the triangle on the instrument panel.

The right hand undertank wiring connector has a green-blue wire on pin 3 coming from fuse 7 that feeds power to the righthand Eurolight switch cluster for parking lights and headlights. Parking lights power output is pin 7 on that same connector and is a grey-blue wir; while headlamp power should feed out pin 4 and have a white-yellow wire. When the righthand switch is in either the park or headlamp positions, there should be power at pin 7 (relative to ground). If your bike shows power on pin 3 with the ignition on but no power on pin 7 in either Eurolight switch switch position, then the fault lies in the righthand switch cluster. It could be corrosion or poor soldering within the switch assembly. If there is power on pin 7 in either switch position, then the fault lies further along the wire loom and you'll have to do some tracing.

Ok I checked the switch and it's ok, so the problem is deeper than that. Sad

Check the conductivity between terminal 58A (grey wire) and 58E (grey/blue wire) at the ignition switch.

Could be that your ignition switch needs to be dismantled and cleaned, or you have a bad connection
at the pigtail.

Here is a "how to" dismantle the ignition switch, if that is needed.
First you could try a jumper between the solder points, to confirm it`s at that place your problem is.

BTW if you ain`t got instrument illumination either, the problem is closer to the light switch.

Ok, I checkd this and everything is working fine on the switch side it seems.I checkd the pigtail end and it seems to be fine.
Maybe I'll have to doubble check the switch again.
