1 cold starting query Fri May 07, 2010 9:38 am

The other day I realised I have developed a cold starting technique which is probably
due to an error in the fuel system.
I go out, uncover the bike, turn on and give the start button a quick nudge.
I wait untill I hear the pump spin down then another brief nudge gets her fired up
immediately.
Hot starts no bother, just touch the button and away she goes.
I havent bothered to RTFM or search for info but guess its due to the fuel system
losing pressure when standing overnight and my little ritual gets the pressure up.
Edit: If I dont do my ritual I have to let it crank a lot and perhaps it would start
with extended use of the start button, but I dont like to crank it for more than a second or two
So, should I be alarmed?
If its a cheap easy fix I'll do it, I like cheap and easy
If its not vital but expensive I'll live with it cos I'm skint.
If its vital and expensive dont tell me I'll only get depressed and take to the bottle
( not that I ever needed much excuse for that)
Thanks
