Now that we have some honorary leprechauns in our krew , maybe the Oz Kontingent could help our Eccentrik friends boost the Pats Day celebrations with a corresponding meet up ? Gaz what about Harrigans at Pokolbin? plenty of Guinness there.

( Gaz 80)  "Grover it's certainly worth putting into the mix for March. The 17th is a Thursday so like the Eccentrics maybe the Satuday 19th would be the most likely (although the green beer might all be gone by then).
I guess I'd have to take the green bike!"

( Indian036) "Grover and Gaz, sounds like a good excuse for another trip up to the Hunter. Feelin' Green on St PatricKs Icon_biggrin "

( Olaf) "This sounds like an excellent idea and yes it looks like 19th is going to be the preferred date here.

We do have to keep something in mind for when Rossko is over but that is being taken Kare of in the ideas department by 88KE. Hopefully Dai will be able to make it and hopefully Comberjohn too.

A drop of blue or green food colouring in a glass of lager will give to green beer......I think a drop of blue gives Kawasaki Green and the green colouring gives Eccentric Green."

we'll pin it for the 19th ,make Kulnura our official start point around 10am, then for a loop of Wollombi and Broke , and end at Harrigans.
There should still be plenty of Guinness on tap .
Feelin' Green on St PatricKs St_pat10

I'll take in the winding scenic roads of the Yarramalong Valley beforehand .

Kulnura will be packed on sunday , due to the Black Dog Ride.

Busy weekend coming up .
Friday 18th , I've managed an RDO ,and will head into Newey , with a possible meetup with Kaptain to pick up parts .

Saturday 19th , Kulnura to Harrigans , if anyone is up to feelin Irish .

Sunday  20th , a quick run down to the Black Dog Ride at The Entrance Leagues Club ( Bateau Bay ) , meeting at 8.30 - 9.00.
Will be there to share the sKroll with Malcoops and any others of the K fraternity.
This ride travels out through Kulnura and finishes at Pokolbin , opposite Harrigans .

so much to do...

In order to pay proper tribute to this important event maybe some of us in the Krew around the Hunter who are permanently out of work (or those who might be sick ?? or need to have the afternoon off) should have a get together at Harrigans Irish Pub at Pokolbin on Thursday for lunch or mid afternoon get together.

This suggestion is in addition to any activities that may occur on the following weekend.

I'll check the domestic calendar but I believe I should be free on Thursday. I'll make this the last outing for my green bike before I strip fairings to repair brackets and some gravel rash.

Anyone interested?
Cheers

At this stage I am planning on backing up again on Saturday for the meet up at Kulnura.

Ed, are we still aiming for a 10:00am meet and Koffee at Kulnura on Saturday morning?

Cheers

My intention of doing the right thing on St Patrick's Day and using my green bike (the K1100LT) has hit a snag.
Got it out of the shed this afternoon to crank it over, which was not a problem as it fired right up, but the constant stream of fuel dripping (almost running) out of the tank directly below the fuel pump was.

So ......... since I was going to strip the fairing off to repair the front bracket anyway the decision of when to start this exercise was obviously right now.

A couple of hours later tank is off and tank doctor has been lined up for a weld repair; the fairing is off and naturally I found more damage than I wanted.

I'm pretty sure that piece I am holding in the last photo is supposed to be joined onto the white patch.

Oh well! that's what 155,000kms on Aussie roads can do to your pride and joy.

Can't go! The Yellow Beast is currently in about 2000 bits in the shed at the mo'.

Sprag Clutch failed.
Blinkers failed.
Light switch failed.
Gonna remove the ABS. Weighs a ton. Has never been activated in all the years I've had it. Still not past the point of no return.

Maybe I'll burn it and get another one!?

Rickmeister.

You just need a loaner for the rest of the week Rickmeister.

I can't help as I'll be riding the trusty K75 and swing arm is out of the R80G/S.

............ now if I had 4 bikes I'd be able to help you out.

Cheers

Rickmeister, you'd be very welcome to borrow one of mine since sadly I won't be able to join the weekend festivities in the Hunter. (In Cooma on Saturday.)

Small issue of collecting it from Goulburn, so I suspect that big brother's offer may be more convenient! Very Happy

Bill

Thanks Sean , be good to see a familiar face in the crowd . I'll bring Winston along with me , I'm sure the Hillbillies won't mind .
Gaz , sad to hear of the dilemma with the Green K , these things don't show till you start moving things , good to find it now though .
Tom ,I'm working on Thursday , so it's a no show on that day unfortunately .

Heading out to the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival on Friday evening after spending the day in Newcastle.
Need to pink slip Ol' Blue on Friday as well.

We can stick with Saturday , depending on available numbers ...... or

On Sunday , I'm still heading down to the Black Dog Ride , to help show support and find some K aficionados to annoy.
Then I have a family function at Greta at 1pm on Sunday , so I'll be taking in some of the ride as it heads up to Pokolbin.
Would you prefer to share a Guinness in the Gaz Kave over a Green K  ?

Tom and I will be observing St Patrick's Day over lunch at Harrigan's Irish Pub at Pokolbin around midday, so if anyone wakes up tomorrow wondering what they should do for the day then all are welcome to join us.

We will then be backing up for Koffee at Kulnura around 10.00am on Saturday with a casual ride around through Broke to Harrigan's again to follow.

Hope there are some faces that we recognise on our travels.

Cheers

Home again now after a very enjoyable few hours with Tom. Working on a post at the computer is a bit easier than from off the phone as the one above.

Note the Guinness Pot Pies on the table that were the go for lunch (no skones today) in the post above and I thought I'd add this photo below of Tom looking pleased to be there.

Good too see some Aussie Krew taking in the frivolities of St Pats day , and I'd like to wish our Irish Kin all the best as they awake to St Pat tomorrow .
Unfortunately I had to send Gaz a note today , Charity work requires me to attend a pre event meeting on Saturday.
Which leaves me without a celebratory Guinness , so it's CHEERS from here .

Would have loved to be with you guys, but I had to put up with luxury accommodation and dinner at Canberra Zoo in honour of Mrs Indian's birthday.

Up close and personal with meerkats and otters tomorrow.
Not too close to otters though. Found out today that they poo together and then use it to decorate their tails for family togetherness!

Will catch up next month, guys. Glad you had a good day today.

Happy St Patrick's day to my Eccentric friends.

Happy Patricks Day from us guys up here. Don't worry about leaving us short of beer. Guinness is THE beer and Dublin is the HOME of Guinness!!

My rumour machine tells me that the bag pipes of Scotland ended up there via Ireland...and that they originate far away from this part of the world.

Hope you guys wont be feeling too GREEN after all the beer..... Leprachaun

Fek the beer's gone green Green beer Must be some Krazy Frogs aboot the hoose.

Dai, I had to look up how to pronounce Uilleann at this site and after reading that I thought that the pipes being used at the gathering in our area might have been old Irish war-pipes.

Whatever the origin of the pipes the spirit of the gathering was great.

Cheers

G'day All, had a great run to Kulnura this morning with Gaz. After a cup of coffee and a pie headed home via Wollombi and Branxton. Departed from the daily use 75 and took the boxer for a spin. It went well but certainly not as refined as the 75. Still a fun bike to be on. Thanks for the company Gaz... a great morning. Cheers Tom
