Hi Ya David
The 5 pin is from the hall sensors, which is at the front of the engine under the T shaped cover and is the ignition triggers. The small 2 pin is either front brake or clutch over-ride which is on the clutch lever perch and fairly hidden. It supplies power to the starter relay when the bike is in gear.

Alarm is the white round and accessories on the black and the 4 pin flat ia also an accessories like temp or fuel gauge. I don't think you will be using any of them.

The 4 pin under the tank will be where the engine/fuel injection harness plugs in and the other 2 flat 4 pin plugs one is for heated grips and the other for fuel or temp gauge depending what the other is for.
Also a PM coming your way.

The first two photos in the first post, if that is the left hand tube] looks to be based on the 3rd photo, the black plug with the two flat pins should be the clutch switch. There should be a similar one to the right which will be the front brake switch. On the 85 K these switches are same and interchangeable, just swapped mine 2 weeks ago. Be careful of routing the cable from the handlebars down that you allow correctly for lock to lock movement. There will be a third one down by the alternator cover, near the side panel lug, this one is for rear brake switch.
Also, a cable tie from wire to frame in front of the connector is useful...prevents the connector being pulled apart......generating a no start situation in gear if its the clutch one that comes apart. Then tank off to reconnect it [been there].

That is the connector for the heated grips.
Connectors for brake/clutch/choke switch have round contacts.

I'm with Inge for another reason too: I can just make out the colour of the wires and they match the heated grips.

Just going on what I found when I had the connectors off the RT on the bank holiday weekend to fit the new switches. The flat pins are at 90 degrees to each other. They would be no 5 and 10 in KH post. BUT maybe it differs due to year, my RT is 1984. Exact same connectors on the 84RS too, because I took them off it first only to find they were also shot. They don't have heated grips.
