Hi to all.
Name is Rob and Noddy is an old nickname from days past. I'm in Queanbeyan NSW which is next door to Canberra. Originally from Hobart Tasmania and moved to Canberra as I'm a Federal Government worker.
Bought a 1984 BMW K100RS a few months ago and enjoying it. Not my only bike but its been purchased for longer trips to do in a bit more comfort than my Duke 750SSie 2000 model. Rode one back in the late 80's a mate had and didn't like it due to the handlebar width and found it heavy, but always liked the look and the reliability of them. Sniffed around for 2 years and found this one with 151,000k's but its a one owner bike before me and its in VG condition as it has been looked after. Its the light geen colour which I'm getting used to, and has factory panniers and top box. Overall, great bike for not a lot of money.
I'm starting to get used to the handlebars and switch blocks and the retractable sidestand, but overall its a lovely thing to ride. Bit of throttle slack will need adjustment but can't really fault it.
I'll put some pics up when able to do so.
Thanks for adding me and I look forward to maybe meeting a few on here down the track.
Rob.
