Recently purchased an 84 k100rs and loving it.

Yep,

We will be a knocking on your door....funny a few days ago I met a man who had a 1984 K100RS....living very close to me too.

Quite a collection of Ks in Cork........especially in Carrigaline, 6 at last count.!

Keep in touch, we are good for coffee.

A planned trip up to Norn Iron on 18th September, your chance to meet Comberjohn and Dai and a few more......l

Nice to meet ye all.
I'm in Midleton, bike came from Kinsale. I purchased it in may this year.
Must say I love riding it. Plenty of power and super comfortable.
For a 31+ year old bike nearly everything works as it should (only thing I'm missing is the sidestand retractor?)
Defo on for a coffee meet and some k talk.

A blue RS....wonder who had that.

We have proper stickers for the front, happy to pass you one over a coffee.

Coffee sounds good......we might even get Bjorn along. He does a good line on coffee in Cork.

Costa Coffee Little Island tomorrow [Saturday] maybe?

Blue RS's must attract tank dings.

My old RS ('87) went to a mate in Midleton, but he still has it.  A bad ding in the rear of the tank when my dad dropped a ladder on it.

No Padre Pio sticker thank the flying spagetti monster.

So, there are two blue RS's in Midleton, both with tank dings.   Small world all the same.

(By the way, I'm in Carrigaline with Olaf).

And you can count seven 7s - but one is with a mate in Fennels bay, who isn't on t'interweb.

I did meet the man from Fennel's Bay last week.......now I also see a forum member in UK regretting selling his K. I met the man from Fennel's Bay when he came to me as I was filling up the K....offering me a 1984 RS with 29K miles on it.!! I would have to turn it into an RT but I suppose that would not be so difficult.

Having a look over the K yesterday, sort of thinking about for the Norn Iron weekend.......thinking not much needing doing. Wondered about the new rear tyre that went on not so long ago, as in a few months ago.....to discover its just about down to the wear indicator. Think it was put on in March...must check. Front one not far off it either so two new BT45 on the way. Lots of riding, third set of tyres since March 2014!

In other words hope to see you for that coffee soon.

I wish... I normally chew through a set every three months (grump). Get's a bit pricey after a while, even though I don't pay anywhere near MRP. Wonder if tyres are any cheaper down south?

I got twice the mileage of the BT45's from Michelin Road Pilots on my K.
Good handling tyre, too.
Tyres are such an emotive subject. Smile
