1 BMW GPS Navigator II Screen Mon Apr 12, 2010 7:12 pm

Two weeks ago I had my K under cover in the drive overnight. That night it rained A LOT and then the temp dropped below freezing the next morning as there was frost on the cover. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to pull the GPS off the bike that night. The Navigator is fine in the rain so that wasn't the issue. It must have been the frost.
The result of this lapse is a damaged LCD screen. The surface film has become de-laminated from the touch screen. It is now an annoying loose skin over the screen. This makes the GPS unreadable if there is any light on the screen. It still works fine, just has the issue with the screen.
Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what did you do about it? Is it repairable? Do I have to send it to Garmin in Kansas City to get it repaired?
Any info will be appreciated; I don't like the idea of buying a new navigator.
Thanks in advance!
