Hello, my name is Iain and from Glasgow, Scotland.
I was at a race meeting this time last year (NW200) and the bike that impressed me most in the campsite bike park was a battle hardened gold/beige K100RS with a France registration plate. I thought it was really cool and by good fortune I was offered one ('86 model in blue) by a work colleague in the autumn. I have taken my time to sort out some of the issues it had which has been tricky as the bike is kept outside.
The bike had been laid up for 12 years and the main problem area was with the fuel system - all the perishables between the tank and the injectors had, well, perished. It is running great now although the riding has been restricted to drag runs up and down the back patio.
Anyway, I think I am nearly there and planning for a return to the road within the next couple of weeks.
This site has been a great source of info for me and I have learnt a great deal about my 'K' from it.
Thanks, Iain
