hi all, i want to grease the splines on my k100 84 model. should i do clutch as well as final drive ? how often should i do these also should i grease the wheel bearings etc? im assuming bearing grease to do wheel bearings is penrite moly grease ok for the splines ? its used on uni joints etc so i dont see why not

That Penrite is only 3% moly, you need about 50% moly at least.
I use Rocol GA50 assembly paste which is ideal. Honda also make a Spline lube which is 60% moly. Guarddog is another and as BMW will tell you Staburags also have a good one
I bought the Rocol from Blackwoods, a 125gram tube is around $50. Use it sparingly but coat all surfaces.
I bought my current tube to replace the old tube which was 35 years old and used to do the splines on the Z1300 Kawasaki then various BMWs

Thanks for the advice Smile also do you need to pull the entire box off to grease the clutch splines

You sure do need to remove it.
Get 4, 150 x 8mm bolts and cut the head of, insert them where you can in place of the bolts that come out, that way you can pull it back about 100mm grease the splines and shove it back on without much trouble at all.
