So I'm trying to get the injectors out, as I suspect they are leaking, and while trying to remove them, only one has popped out of the head, the rest popped out of the rail but one has popped out of the fuel rail. I'm letting things air out in the garage a bit, as a fair bit of gas has leaked out, but is there a method for removing the injectors from the head when not connected to the rail?

First, vacuum and clean the engine block around each injector, to remove any collected sand, dirt or debris. The injectors are only pressed into the hole in the block and sealed with an O-ring. try wiggling them. They will eventually loosen and can be removed. If they put up a fight, try WD40 or Jig-a-loo spray as a lubricant. Spray around the injector where is enters the block and wait a bit to allow the fluid to seep in a bit. That should help.

Thanks. Got them out. I think I panicked a little as I wasn't expecting gas to pour out at that stage of removal. The plan was to remove them from the rail over a container after pulling them from the head. Got them safely removed.

Fuel should'nt be pouring out or even dripping out at that stage. You need to release the fuel pressure before disconnecting any part of the fuel system. The procedure for removing the injectors is outlined in this link

EDIT: ps you can easily release the pressure by disconnecting the tank connector and running the engine till it stops. This is also a safety precaution because if fuel spills onto a hot engine you could have a fire on your hands.

Pouring was a little exaggerative. The tank is off the bike, so the fuel that came out was just what was left in the hose and the rail. It came out when the injector popped out of the rail before the block. The I just underestimated how much it all held, maybe a teaspoon at most, and when it was going to come out.
