Last weekend we had our annual Classic BMW Halloween Meeting 2014 in Benidorm, Spain, in his 7th edition.
We had a wonderful weather and chance to ride and visit some nice places like Alicante mountains (around the Puig Campana), Alicante Santa Bárbara Castle and the beaches of San Juan and Arenales del Sol. The Mediterranean Sea was beautiful in calm and like a mirror in this warm beginning of autumn..

The best of all, anyway is meeting old friends from differente parts of Spain. Classic BMW riders, mostly R-Riders but also some nice Ks. In some of the pictures you will see my silver 1973 R75/5..who also enjoyed meeting old friends..  Very Happy
I post here some pictures from the meetig, hope you enjoy it. Regards!

Good gathering and nice bikes.
I have a question, when you go trick or treat and the people wont give you anything do you throw bricks on their roof. Classic BMW Halloween Meeting, Benidorm, Spain, 2014 44271

Nice pics Victory. Quite a big meet.
I had a silver R75/5 a year or two older than yours back in the 70s. I bought it about 1½ years old and rode it for about 5 years until two cars collided right in front of me. Unfortunately there was nothing I could do. Yours looks to be in excellent condition... Classic BMW Halloween Meeting, Benidorm, Spain, 2014 177381

Correct, Kaptain!

She is an actress and singer from the 60´s.. The Prize is related to Concha Velasco´s TV advertising about "small urine leaks".. sanitary napkin for mature ladies.. Embarassed Embarassed

(Sorry if it is not absolutly "politically correct" post but this is the explanation to the name of the Prize.. Please no offense!!)

There is some other funny Prizes.. Fast and Furious (to the slower bike), Darth Vader (to the best leader of the Dark Side ), Nanas de Oro y Plata -Gold and Silver Steelwool Scourer-(to the cleanest and unpolute bike)...
I can post some pics if you are interested. Very Happy Very Happy

On my excuse, last year I won the Abuela Prize, to the oldest bike in the meeting..!!
This time there were two 50/2 from 1966 and 1967.. My bike was the 3rd oldest..

Laughing Laughing ... ok. I thought it might have had something to do with 'incontinence' ... there I said it Embarassed, but wasn't sure about the connection with Valesco. Your old giRl is a beauty anyway.
Sounds like a fun meet.
Cheers

Well, Jeremy, this is an almost "family" meeting, I mean, it is open under inscription but we are no more than 50-60 bikes each year. It is a chance to meet friends that you seldom see.. We began with this forum

http://www.bmwmotos.com/foro/encuentros-clasicas/

and then with this one,

http://www.clasicasbmw2v.com/forum

smaller forum where we almost know each other..

But specially thanks to a guy, Curro, that every year cares about the organization..without him would be difficult to carry on..

More pics..

This year´s "Prizes".. Fun, fun ,fun... There is one specially for Ks.. Laughing Laughing

That day is not too far off, going on some of our more recent discussions, not to mention some even more recent discussion with ex forum member Bikerboy and Jude.

I have a birthday in 2016 that provides the required excuse.

This now is a very interesting dilemma.

We just got another Irish Eccentric JediGril who has firmly planted the idea of an Eccentrics outing to Poland. Meet Magda, our latest.

Not so long back there was Sagi, as in Sebastian, who is from Vienna and who reminded me of my liking for Eastern Europe and Budapest where I enjoyed many visits to my son.

I have a daughter in London and another in Antwerp.

So, now, all the stopovers are in place.

Magda, on the forum about 2 days, had already hatched a plan to do this trip. Seems the only thing needed was some k nuts! She is clearly suitable K forum material looking at her rides and posts.

I don't have any fear of travel or problems on the way so it will happen.

If I can manage next year I would love to do it. My issue is only time off work. The ride is fine as I have been down to Spain in the car and have no fear. I live a few miles from Cork ferry to Roscoff and only 2 overnight stops are needed to make Alicante. First would be around Niort/Bordeaux, second in Spain.

Just keep us posted as there is possibly some interest here. Because of the distance and time of year I would be watching weather and would want reasonable weather as in not too much rain.

We have already planned a trip to France May 30th which will use a lot of my time but this would be a nice one. !!!
