 I have just been out for a spin testing the Corbin seat I acquired off Corkboy.

It is a great day and roads are dry around Dublin, so maybe time to also take out the K1.

Must be the weather......was out last Sunday and just heading out now for a bit.....got tired of looking at the K and PMS kicked in big time.

I hate you lot. I've been sick for the last couple of weeks and just looking at LFB is as close as I got to riding it.

Going up tomorrow to get the K1100 out from my dads garage, with a view to using it to go to Stradbally.  As said, if it is like today then it would be a sin to take the car.

Might be bringing a friend, he just got his big-boy licence and picked up a Varadero.  

Hope the seat is comfy Simon.  I sure liked it (but swmbo didn't)

Clocked up 60 miles yesterday and another 80 odd today. Temperature nearly made it into double figures for a while.
Ordered up a pair of handlebar mitts last night. The heated grips are great but the backs of my hands still get cold.
Heated seat is magic. Toasted buns!
Still using the car on Saturday though. It's about 300 miles round trip and mostly motorway. Boring!!

I also got the K1 out today but light rain came on (but it was still nice to get out ).

The Corbin seat seems to be growing on me (on the K100RS 16v) but I need to do more miles on it.

I was playing with the speedo calibration tool Karamba today and now have my K100RS 16V perfectly calibrated.

The K1 is next on the list it is reading 140kmh but only doing showing 120Kmh on the GPS, it is dark now so another days work.

If anyone wants to borrow the leads to do this calibration let me know.

I've had to pull out. I've just been talking to ComberJohn; I've had a throat infection for the last couple of weeks and yesterday I coughed so hard that I damaged the sciatic nerve. I'm literally making my way around the house by clinging onto things... b*ll*ks.

I know from personal experience that you are in enough pain to make ones eyes water, I do hope that it comes good quickly Dai you have all my sympathy.

Dai, a bit gutted for you. We know how much you were looking forward to the Brunch. Our thoughts are with you and hope you will make our next meet up. 40ml Bushmills, take orally 3 times a day.

I won't make it unfortunately, I'll be eating cookies with my family as mum came over from Austria fro a visit.

A sobering moment.

Yesterday there was a 11am meet up in Cork of what is referred to a VJMC being Vintage Japanese Motorcycles but basically anyone with older bikes is very welcome and they don't have to be Japanese either. Yesterday was their Christmas brunch....I had planned to go along but due to a family invite didn't go along.

At 1pm they posted up a photo of parked up bikes. They also posted a photo of them enjoying their brunch. Sadly yesterday afternoon I heard mention of a motorcycle fatality up near Watergrasshill. One of them was involved in the collision on the way home and happened to have been on a BMW but a more recent boxer.

I have no idea what happened but he was much the same age etc as the rest of us so its a case of ride carefully.

keeping the temperature in mind, it seems to be 4 wheels again . See you in Stradbally around 11 (have to be in Waterford in the morning) and happy Christmas and New Year to all who won't make it!

Just back from Stradbally, on possibly the coldest day of the year so far, but even so I think we managed to get 6 K's together.

Lots of , no today, but Olaf's Christmas pudding did have some Guinness in it

Some cars as well as K's, as ice was around for some people.

Another great K day out.

Special thanks to Olaf for a making his very special sumptuous Christmas pudding. Great to meet up with many members again.

It was a very sociable occasion. Ringfad's RS was looking cool with the K1200 wheels on it. I had to travel by car with my co-pilot Alex whose day was made by Comberjohn's gift. Thanks John!

I finally got a garage sorted to work in so feeling motivated to push on at the LT over the next few weeks.

No more full breakfasts for me for a while!
